Tabiz Siddhi Process

Our Mantra Siddhi and Tabiz Preparation Process

Sacred Preparation, Mantra Japa and Consecration

At MyTabiz, we prepare each tabiz through a process of sacred inscription, prayer, mantra japa and ritual consecration. The process begins with the preparation of the sacred materials and continues through the prescribed chanting and concluding rituals.

Each tabiz is prepared according to its intended spiritual purpose and the mantra associated with it. We carry out every stage with care, discipline and respect for the significance of the mantra.

1. Selection of an Auspicious Time

We begin by selecting an auspicious time, known as shubh muhurat, for the preparation and consecration of the tabiz. Navratri, Diwali, Maha Shivaratri and other spiritually significant occasions are considered important for mantra japa and worship.

The timing is selected according to the mantra being used and the purpose of the preparation. Before beginning, we arrange the required materials and prepare a clean, peaceful place for the ritual.

2. Preparation of the Sacred Writing Material

The preparation of the sacred inscription is an important part of our process. We use Bhojpatra, the natural bark of the Himalayan birch tree, as the writing surface for the sacred mantra or inscription.

We prepare the writing material carefully and handle it respectfully. The mantra is written or printed with attention to the correct wording and arrangement, ensuring that the inscription is clear and complete.

For this preparation, we also use Harshringar (Nyctanthes arbor-tristis), also known as Parijat or Night-flowering Jasmine, and Ashtagandha.

Harshringar, or Parijat, is a flowering plant with a recognised place in Indian cultural and religious practices. Ashtagandha is a traditional fragrant preparation used in Hindu worship. We use these materials in preparing the sacred tabiz according to our prescribed method.

The inscription is prepared with care and kept ready for the next stage of the ritual.

3. Preparation of the Sacred Insert

Once the writing material is ready, we prepare the sacred insert for the tabiz. Depending on its purpose, the insert carries the prescribed mantra or sacred verse.

For a tabiz associated with Swapan Dosh and disturbing dreams, we prepare the inscription of the Ramaskandam verse. For a tabiz associated with the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, we prepare the corresponding sacred inscription.

We check the written text carefully before proceeding. The completed insert is kept respectfully in the designated place of worship until it is used in the ritual.

4. Purification and Sankalp

Before the mantra japa begins, we prepare the place of worship and arrange the tabiz and sacred insert. The ritual begins with purification, prayers and a sankalp, or sacred intention.

The sankalp establishes the purpose of the practice and expresses our commitment to completing the prescribed mantra japa. We offer prayers to the deity associated with the mantra and begin the process with a calm and focused mind.

5. Invocation and Prayer

We offer prayers to the deity associated with the selected mantra. The invocation is accompanied by meditation and concentration on the meaning and spiritual significance of the mantra.

A lighted lamp, incense, flowers and other customary offerings are used as appropriate to the ritual. This stage prepares the practitioner for the main chanting and establishes the devotional focus of the process.

6. Mantra Japa and Prescribed Chanting

Mantra japa forms the central part of our preparation process. We chant the selected mantra repeatedly, maintaining concentration and keeping an accurate count of the repetitions. A japa mala may be used to help maintain the prescribed count.

The number of repetitions depends on the particular tabiz.

Ramaskandam Mantra — 1,008 Repetitions

For our tabiz associated with Swapan Dosh and negative or disturbing dreams, we chant the Ramaskandam verse 1,008 times.

रामं स्कन्दं हनूमन्तं वैनतेयं वृकोदरम्।
शयने यः स्मरेन्नित्यं दुःस्वप्नस्तस्य नश्यति॥

The verse invokes the remembrance of Lord Rama, Lord Skanda, Lord Hanuman, Vainateya (Garuda) and Vrikodara (Bhima). It is traditionally recited in connection with remembering these revered figures at bedtime.

We complete the prescribed 1,008 repetitions with attention to the wording and devotional significance of the verse.

Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra — 11,000 Repetitions

For our tabiz associated with the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, we complete 11,000 repetitions of the mantra.

ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम्।
उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान्मृत्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात्॥

Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra holds an important place in Hindu prayer and worship. It is traditionally recited in prayers seeking divine grace, peace, spiritual strength and protection.

We maintain concentration throughout the chanting and complete the prescribed number of repetitions as part of the preparation process.

7. Concluding Rituals and Consecration

After completing the prescribed mantra japa, we perform the concluding prayers and offerings. These may include flowers, incense, a lighted lamp and prayers to the associated deity.

The sacred insert and tabiz are presented during the concluding stage of the ritual. We complete the prescribed prayers and follow the steps required for the consecration of the prepared tabiz.

8. Placement and Sealing of the Sacred Insert

After the prescribed preparation and ritual stages are complete, we place the sacred insert inside the tabiz and close it securely.

We check that the insert is properly positioned and that the tabiz is ready for use. Care is taken to protect the contents and maintain the finished item's condition.

9. Final Prayers and Preparation for Use

We conclude the process with prayers of gratitude to the associated deity. The completed tabiz is then checked and prepared for presentation to the wearer.

Instructions for wearing or keeping the tabiz are provided according to the intended use. We encourage every wearer to approach the practice with respect for its spiritual significance and an understanding of its place in religious tradition.

Our Commitment

At MyTabiz, we approach mantra japa and tabiz preparation with care, discipline and respect for traditional spiritual practices. From preparing the sacred inscription using Harshringar and Ashtagandha to completing the prescribed mantra japa, each stage has a defined place in our preparation process.

Our aim is to preserve the devotional character of these practices and present each tabiz with care and respect for the faith of those who choose to wear it.
